Well, before getting into the topic, I would like to say that these methods to lose weight are not just tips by me but proven effective methods to shed those extra pregnancy pounds- which have been followed by women across the globe for over years, it’s just that we haven’t taken notice of it, so let’s get started with,
How To Quickly Lose Weight While Breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding has always been the topic of endless conversations and speculations, while some believe that breastfeeding melts off that extra weight, some believe that breastfeeding makes you gain more weight. It’s true that it’s quite difficult to lose weight when you are a new mom, it’s not because the fat is stubborn, it’s because you have to take care of the new baby that you get to spend very little time for yourself. But here is the fact, none of the speculations are exactly 100% true.
Ways To Safely and Quickly Lose Weight While Breastfeeding
“Breastfeeding burns about 850 calories in a day”, yes, that’s, “wow”! But there is also a darker side to this fact, “breastfeeding makes you hungry”.
When you are sleep deprived and hungry, you naturally tend to resort to sweet and carbohydrates cravings. And when you are doing that, burning 850 calories a day is not going to do much on shedding those pounds.
So we need to figure out a way were you can stay happy, healthy and take good care of your precious baby, and that’s exactly what am going to tell you in this article(and yea these steps are also going to help you with the cravings, making sure that you don’t reach out to that cookie jar next time you are hungry).
The very first thing you need to remember…
Don’t Pressure your Self about Losing Weight
This might sound ridiculous but it’s very true. The more you stress yourself the more weight you are going to gain. I know you are in a hurry to fit into your old jeans but munching on a few veggies can maybe help you lose weight but what about your baby. Your baby gets his/her main source of nutrients to grow healthy from your breast milk. So when you don’t eat well you are depriving your baby rather than yourself. It recommended to at least wait for about 6 weeks after pregnancy to even start working on weight loss.
Squeeze in a Minimum of 8 Cups of Water Every day
Water is the key to everybody’s health whether you are a new mother or just another normal person. Drinking about 2 to 3 liters of water every day as part of your daily routine can never go wrong. But since we are talking about breastfeeding mothers here, it might be-be impossible to walk around the whole day with a water bottle. We recommend a minimum of 8 glasses of water because water is one naturally and easily available weight loss supplement that will help you flush out unwanted toxins and fat from your body. Water contributes to the proper functioning of circulation, digestion, transportation of nutrients, regulation of body temperature, and milk production, keeps your body toxin free, combines with the oil on your skin gives it UV protection, helps muscle work… the of water is endless.
It might be difficult to drink 8 cups right ways but you can start out by drinking two cups first thing in the morning, two cups each at lunch and dinner- that’s already 6 glass down- now squeeze in two more any time in-between.
Don’t rush into the gym the very next week and do a deadlift (that’s going to be a very bad idea), start gradually, your diet is only half the battle, moderate exercise is equally important to lose weight as well as get your body back and toned up. Going to the gym or running long distances will be impossible when you have a newborn at home- wait at least six to eight weeks before starting any kind of serious workout- a brisk walk while pushing your baby in a stroller will just be fine for starting out. You can later move into jogging, swimming, and gradually get back in the gym.
You might have heard this 100 times, but eating clean is very important.
- Fruits & Vegetables: Thy should make up a large portion of your food intake. For example: Start your day with a fruit and vegetable smoothie. I personally love the following combination in my smoothie, some strawberries, a ripe banana, and blueberries combined with almond milk or low fat cow milk. It’s yummy as well as tummy filling as well as healthy.
- Lean Protein: Such as a single of chicken or fish, some of your favorite beans.
- Healthy Fats: Walnuts, Almonds, Chia seeds, Hemp seeds, Olives, Avocados, Coconut oil, and Olive Oil
One of the best post-pregnancy weight loss aid is to sleep. When you’re asleep, your body repairs itself and returns to a healthier state.here is how sleep can impact your body. It can help your muscles relax, supply more blood to organs and muscles, helps to release growth hormone, blood pressure returns to its normal level and encourages overall wellness of mind and body.
Firming & Toning Products
Toning as well as firming products can help you to an extent, they can help you with stretch marks and sagging skin. A good toning and forming product will help with Reinforcing skin elasticity, Firming skin from within, Promote collagen production and Relieving dry, tight, sensitive skin.

Let me know your experience through the comments box, also if you have any enquires I would be happy to help you. Before I leave I would also like to remind “new moms” who strive to get back to their old body that- In order to deliver a baby, a women’s body expands in all possible ways, our hips expand and your ribcage expands. All that changes and to get all that extra weight it took a good nine months so at least weight about 9 months to gradually get it off. Also, be easy on yourself for the first 6 weeks because it’s known as the “transition period” were you and the baby get to adjust to the new world, new routine, and new responsibilities.
